82F, 92 Real Feel®. A good solid run. Didn’t struggle during any part of the run. Kept the positive mental conversation going, checking and confirming that everything felt good. Didn’t consider walking at any point.
Big Thing(s): First: added 2:00 to the runs from last week. Two weeks ago, I was struggling to make 22:00. Went to 24:00 today. Could be hydration, but I honestly think it was just a mental lapse when I was struggling.
Second: used the downhill on Sycamore between Hollywood and Lakeside to recover from the uphill at the end of Hollywood. That’s close to the halfway point of a 24:00 run, and it refreshed me for the remainder.
Little Thing(s): First: stayed head-up and over my hips during the run, again. Am finding out how much that helps both physically and mentally.
Second: Seemed like I started to get a small second wind at around 20:00. That was right at the end of Lakeside.
Will be on track this week for M-W-F runs. Will stay at 24:00 this week, with the goal of moving up another 2:00 per week.
